CDR Writing & Review
A Competency Demonstration Report is the document Engineers Australia uses to assess your engineering skills for migration. We help you prepare one — three Career Episodes, a Summary Statement and a CPD record — built from your own projects, mapped to the competencies being assessed, and checked before you submit. We also review reports you have already written.
What’s Included
Every part is prepared around your own engineering work and the assessment requirements.
Career Episodes
Three episodes describing engineering work you personally carried out, each structured and written to meet Engineers Australia’s requirements for length, format and first-person detail.
Summary Statement
The cross-reference document that maps every competency element for your occupational category back to the specific paragraphs in your episodes that demonstrate it.
CPD Record
A dated list of your continuing professional development — courses, training, conferences and private study — set out in the format Engineers Australia expects.
Occupation & Category Advice
Guidance on which occupational category and ANZSCO code your qualification and experience actually support, settled before any drafting begins.
Review of an Existing CDR
If you have already written your report, we review it on its own: competency coverage, technical detail, language, and anything likely to cause problems.
Originality Check
Every episode is screened for copied material before you submit. Engineers Australia treats plagiarism as a serious breach, so this is checked as standard rather than offered as an extra.
How It Works
Step #1: Free First Review
Tell us about your degree and your work. We confirm which occupational category fits and whether now is the right time to apply.
Step #2: Project Discussion
We talk through the projects you will write about, drawing out the decisions, calculations and standards that make an episode assessable.
Step #3: Drafting
You write from a structure we prepare with you, and we edit. The report has to be your own work, so we coach rather than write it for you.
Step #4: Mapping and Final Checks
We build the Summary Statement, close any gaps in competency coverage, run the originality check and proofread before you submit.
Not Sure Which Category You Fit?
Tell us about your qualification and experience, and we will help you choose the right category.
